Piriou wins an order for a second 22m trawler for ACAV

L’Armement Coopératif Artisanal Vendéen (ACAV) has once again put its faith in PIRIOU by placing an order for a second 22-metre trawler, equipped for Danish seine fishing. After the "CAYOLA" delivered to ACAV and Mr Mikael BAUD in March this year, the Vendée-based shipowner, in association with Mr Romain PICAUD, will take delivery of CAYOLA's sister ship in March 2014. The vessel will be built in Concarneau (29).

After 6 months extremely satisfactory operation, the "CAYOLA" has lived up to the expectations of its owner, its designer (Cabinet Mauric), and its manufacturer (Piriou):

1.    The ship consumes 30% less fuel than conventional trawlers

2.    It produces fish of superior quality

3.    It offers improved on-board working and living conditions
