29/06/2010

This first boat for floating waste collect powered with hybrid diesel-electric engine provides an effective solution to clean the ports and the coastline and

a concrete response to objectives of 'Environment and marine Grenelle.

This 8m boat was built at the request of the CEP (Ports Operation Company), a subsidiary of Veolia Environment specialized in the management of port facilities.

Thanks to a hybrid diesel-electric engine, this boat operates at a moderate speed of 3 knots. This  clean, renewable energy reduces noise, can operate in the ports and especially move safely around the beaches.AR

ATELIERS NORMAND has developed an automated and robust system for collecting that optimises and secures the work of the operator. The overrall movement is achieved in 7 seconds : lifting, and unloading baskets in the removable collect boxes located on the bridge.
